Who We Are

Rooted in Christ, Grounded in Purpose

A diverse group of young adults gathered in conversation in a warm, welcoming space, with a Bible on the table and a HOPE HEALING PURPOSE sign on the wall
"He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds." — Psalm 147:3

Source of Wellness Collective Center exists for older teens and young adults standing at a turning point — navigating recovery, behavioral health challenges, or a fresh start after involvement with the justice system.

We're not a clinic and we're not a quick fix. We're a community of mentors offering prayer and practical support, framed by the Seven Pillars of Wellness — walking alongside young people toward wholeness. Because if Christ truly is the foundation, wholeness is the evidence. And when it is, we send them out to sow into others what was sown into them — hope, wholeness, and a place to belong.

Who We Serve

A Community for Those Ready to Move Forward

We serve older teens and young adults navigating substance use recovery, behavioral health challenges, and other life obstacles — including those seeking a new path following involvement with the justice system. Through Christ-centered mentoring, education, and holistic wellness, we help participants build lives of purpose, resilience, and service to others.

Why It Matters

Closing the Gap Between Treatment and Transformation

Addiction rates among young adults in Virginia are rising, and justice-involved youth face major barriers to stability.

Gen Z and Millennials often struggle with identity, belonging, and long-term recovery success.

Faith and community connection significantly improve recovery outcomes, reducing relapse and repeat justice involvement.

By filling the gap between treatment and lasting life transformation, SOW helps young people not only recover, but thrive and sow back into their communities what was sown into them.

Whether you are seeking hope, searching for purpose, supporting a loved one, or looking for a place to invest your time and gifts, we welcome you. "There are moments in life when God quietly stirs your heart—not with fear, but with compassion. He allows you to see people differently, reveals needs that others may overlook, and refuses to let you simply walk away. That is how the Source of Wellness Collective Center was born."

"A person can be sober and still be emotionally wounded. They can attend church and still feel isolated. They can appear successful while quietly carrying deep pain. True healing reaches every part of a person's life."

"The greatest healing in my own life did not come through another person or through my circumstances changing. It came through an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ... He didn't simply improve my life. He made me whole."

There are moments in life when God quietly stirs your heart—not with fear, but with compassion. He allows you to see people differently, reveals needs that others may overlook, and refuses to let you simply walk away.

That is how the Source of Wellness Collective Center was born.

For many years, I have served in ministry, walking alongside individuals and families navigating brokenness, addiction, life-controlling behaviors, and difficult seasons. Along the way, I began teaching Retail Theft Education classes. During one particular class, something unexpected happened.

As we discussed accountability, decision-making, and personal responsibility, several young adults began connecting our conversation to Scripture. I hadn't introduced Bible verses—they did. The discussion naturally shifted toward faith and God's work in their lives.

Then one of the young persons in the class shared how the Holy Spirit had convicted their heart. If I'm honest, they were probably the last person I expected to tell that story. I had made assumptions based on their outward appearance, but God gently reminded me that He sees the heart. In that moment, I sensed His presence in a way I will never forget.

When the three-hour class ended, most of the students stayed for nearly two more hours. They talked openly about life, faith, struggles, and their desire for authentic relationships. During the class evaluation, several shared the same thought: "I wish we could have ended with a prayer circle."

That simple comment settled deeply into my spirit.

These young adults weren't asking for another program. They were longing for a safe place where they could ask questions, pray together, receive guidance and mentorship, and grow in their relationship with Christ. Some admitted they didn't even know where to find a healthy church community or trusted believers who would walk alongside them.

Around that same time, my husband completed a Veterans Affairs wellness program and shared with me what he had learned about the pillars of wellness. As he talked, the Holy Spirit began connecting the dots.

He impressed upon my heart that recovery is far more than changing behavior. A person can be sober and still be emotionally wounded. They can attend church and still feel isolated. They can appear successful while quietly carrying deep pain.

True healing reaches every part of a person's life.

It became clear that Christ had to remain the foundation because lasting transformation begins and ends with Him. But God also revealed a practical pathway toward wholeness—one that intentionally nurtures spiritual, emotional, intellectual, physical, vocational, financial, and social wellness.

That became the vision for the Source of Wellness Collective Center.

This mission is deeply personal because it reflects my own journey. After more than thirty years in ministry, I have witnessed countless lives touched by God's grace, yet I have also seen sincere believers continue to struggle beneath the weight of brokenness.

I understand that struggle because I have lived it.

The greatest healing in my own life did not come through another person or through my circumstances changing. It came through an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ and discovering what it truly means to be loved by Him. He didn't simply improve my life.

He made me whole.

That is why I believe so deeply in this work. I know there is only one source of lasting healing, freedom, and wholeness.

My prayer is that every person who becomes part of this community will discover hope for today and a lifelong relationship with the only One who can truly heal us and make us whole.
